After Monday’s blizzard dropped over 30” of snow, over 130,000 homes on Cape Cod are still without power, with restoration not expected until Friday. There are downed trees, dark neighborhoods, and snow piled high along once-busy roads. The Cape is home to Liveline’s very first affiliate, WHYA (Y101), sometimes mistaken for our flagship, but since day one, the show has beamed live from the Boston suburbs in the same studio where John Garabedian’s Open House Party originated for 30 years. Here we saw 12-24” of snow, forcing virtually every business to close for a day, but things are already back to normal.
