FCC Actions
The FCC’s new rules for asymmetric operation of digital power levels by FMs took effect on Friday, May 23.
The rulemaking, granted last September, allows FMs from 88.1 to 106.9 to notify the FCC of asymmetric operation indicating the digital ERP of of the upper and lower digital sidebands as well as the total digital ERP. Stations on 107.1 to 107.9 are exempt due to their proximity to the adjacent Aeronautical Radio Navigation Spectrum.
License Cancellations
After rescuing and rebuilding her hometown station in 2021, syndicated personality Delilah cancelled the license for 1030 KDUN Reedsport OR citing that “after more than three years of operation, I’m not able to continue operating the radio station and provide the financial means to do so”.
