West Virginia news/talk network MetroNews has announced plans for a new midday talk show hosted by Amanda Barren and Dave Allen.
Metro Middays is set to be heard from 12-3 PM. The show will be heard on several stations throughout the Mountain State.
Amanda Barren is a veteran television anchor in the state, serving at WOWK-TV 13 News and also host of Tonight Live.
“I am honored to come work alongside a team that I hold in such high regard,” said Barren.
She will anchor the first hour of the show solo, delivering both MetroNews updates and national news alongside in-depth interviews.
Dave Allen — who works as a host at WCHS Radio in Charleston for WVRC Media, parent company of MetroNews — will join in the second and third hours of the show.
Allen is a West Virginia native and attended Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College as well as Marshall University. Spending four decades in broadcasting, Allen has been a part of the WVRC Media team since 2020. He currently hosts 580 Live on WCHS Radio from 9-10 AM.
