Cumulus Media Country “Cat Country 96” WCTO Easton/Allentown PA is now being heard on two signals in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre PA market.
93.7 WSJR Dallas/Wilkes-Barre, which had already been Country as “93.7 Nash-FM“, and 95.7 WBHD Olyphant/Scranton, which had been simulcasting CHR “Hot 97.1” WBHT Mountain Top, have both begun simulcasting WCTO and 107.1 WWYY Belvidere NJ as “Cat Country 93.7“. All four signals will carry the same programming and music, with separate stopsets and local inserts.
The move marks the return of the “Cat Country” brand to 93.7 as it (as then WCTD) and 94.3 Carbondale (then WCTP) were “Cat Country 94” from 1998-2000. WSJR has been Country again since 2004 with time branded as “JR 93.7“, “Great Country 93.7” and since 2013 as “Nash-FM“. It had been carrying Westwood One’s national Country lineup.
WSJR had a 1.3 share in the January 2025 Nielsen Audio ratings, placing well behind Audacy’s “Froggy 101” WGGY’s 6.2 share.
