San Antonio-based radio-focused software developer nextKast is heralding updates to the seventh version of its automation system, sporting new features ranging from enhanced reliability to a modernized user-friendly interface.
As the company sees it, nextKast 7.0 is a fully integrated solution that combines automation, scheduling, traffic, nextAI, FTP, and more into a single system. “We listened to our customers and developed an end-to-end platform that eliminates the chaos radio stations experience when working on or trying to sync different platforms,” said Winston Potgieter, Founder and Project Manager of nextKast. “This frees up valuable work hours to focus on what truly matters: running the radio station efficiently.”
Potgieter continues, “Traditional automation setups rely on multiple software and hardware components, creating a budget and time drain. By consolidating everything into a single, efficient system, stations can cut setup and operations time by 30% to 50%.”
Chuck Taylor, Program Director at KHYI-FM in the Sherman-Denison, Tex., market, is a fan. “The integration of the music scheduler with the overall automation is seamless,” he says. “It saves us a lot of time and reduces the chance of errors, especially with its flexible scheduling rules and real-time adjustments. The Audience Pleaser is a fantastic tool to keep our playlist fresh and test new music with real time feedback.”
The update follows the recent product release from nextKast of nextAI Virtual Hosting, with a vast and diverse library of voices, plus custom voice cloning.
