Steve Sutton Returns To Mornings At WGNE

After Eden Kendall departed mornings at Renda Broadcasting’s “99.9 Gator Country” WGNE-FM Middleburg/Jacksonville FL to join WJXT-TV in January, the station has brought Steve Sutton back to join Amadeus in mornings.

Amadeus, Sutton and Kendall all worked together as part of the “The Big Ape Morning Zoo” at Cox CHR 95.1 WAPE Jacksonville. The trio departed together at the end of 2006 to join WGNE upon the completion of their non-competes in June 2007 and remained together until Sutton’s exit in April 2022. Sutton has spent his entire career in Jacksonville beginning in 1993 at 92.1 WJXR and 1530 WCRJ.
