More than a year after their midday and afternoon hosts exited the station, Mereulo Media Hip Hop “Power 106” KPWR Los Angeles has announced a revamped on-air lineup led by the move of Justin Credible’s “Liftoff Show” from nights to afternoons.
Credible has hosted nights on KPWR since 2016 after previously serving as Imaging Director for the station. Credible said, “I’m thrilled to be moving to this new time slot. It is an excellent opportunity to engage with listeners seeking their daily intake of Hip Hop and entertainment.”
Mereulo Media SVP/Audio Brands Pio Ferro said, “Justin Credible’s Liftoff Show is a staple for Power 106. Justin captivates audiences with his infectious energy, deep passion for Hip Hop, celebrity interviews, freestyles, and his engaging content.”
Replacing Credible in nights will be B-NYCE from 6-10pm with DJ Carisma mixing from 6-8pm. B-NYCE said, “I’m excited to bring my TALK 2 ME NYCE show to nights with DJ Carisma in the mix from 6 – 8 pm! We’ll be bringing that infectious energy and passion for Hip-Hop. Can’t wait to connect with the city every night!”
The remainder of the lineup changes will see “Brown Bag Mornings” start an hour earlier to air from 5-10am. VP/Music and Program Director DJ E-Man will launch a “Power Midday Mix” from 12-1pm.
The cuts follow the departures of Bryhana Monegain from middays and DJ Felli Fel from afternoons in February 2024.
