Starting Monday, Cox Media Group’s Jacksonville television operations will have a new Director of Sales. But, he’s no stranger to the stations CMG runs on Florida’s First Coast.
That’s because John Palmer has been with WFOX-TV and Hoffman Communications-owned and CMG-managed WJAX-TV for more than 21 years, serving as Local Sales Manager for the last 11 years.
“I’m confident that John’s extensive experience, proven success, and vision for our clients will continue to drive outstanding results for Jacksonville sales and traffic teams,” said Omesh Somaru, VP/General Manager for WFOX and WJAX. “Beyond his impressive business acumen and success, John has demonstrated exceptional leadership in developing talent within our organization.”
Palmer commented, “The strength of both stations’ viewership enables us to provide high-quality content that a vast number of viewers desire. This makes these stations highly appealing to local businesses aiming to connect with the substantial audiences we attract.”
