FCC Report 3/30: Texas AM Loses License For Failure To Pay Regulatory Fees For Over A Decade

The FCC has revoked the license of Unido Para Cristo’s 1060 KIJN Farwell TX due to failure to pay its regulatory fee debt from 2013 through 2024. KIJN was issued an an Order to Pay or to Show Cause in January with debt at the time of $27,492.48. With interest, that rose to $27,523.66 as of March 19. The station failed to pay or respond to the commission as to why its shouldn’t have to pay.

Townsquare Media turned in the licenses of Classic Hits “Fun 94.7” KVLL-FM Wells TX and “Whoopee” 1110 WUPE Pittsfield MA.

First Assembly King’s Cathedral and Chapels has surrendered the license for 1570 KUAU Haiku HI after being silent for over a year following the loss of its transmitter site in February 2024.

After taking the station silent earlier this month, WTAB Media has turned in the license for 1370 WTAB Tabor City NC.
