It’s a 1kw Class C AM radio station serving a coastal Oregon city sandwiched between Devils Lake and the Pacific Ocean. And, it is being acquired by a group behind a radio and online community project with a mission to inform and entertain Mt. Scott Meadows. That’s been happening via an operation with a brand familiar to a generation of Chicago radio listeners.
Sandra Woodruff and the group she leads, Scottsview Media Project, is adding KBCH-AM 1400 in Lincoln City, Ore., through a purchase agreement with Pacific West Broadcasting.
A $12,000 purchase price was agreed upon by the parties. When complete, KBCH will be added to an organization that presently operates an 1980s-focused Classic Hits offering branded “Super CFL.”
Rockwell Media Services is handling the station’s sale, and a $2,000 escrow payment has been made to the seller, headed by David Miller. Serving as Miller’s legal counsel in this transaction is Mark Denbo of Smithwick & Belendiuk.
Woodruff holds 51% equity interest in Scottsview Media Project, with the remaining 49% held by Eldenath DeVilya, its President.
